General Contracting Services

The term "General Contract" refers to a project delivery method which is sequenced as design, bid, build.

A project delivered under the “General Contract” delivery method has the (general) contractor join a project team once the construction documents are completed. These construction documents are procured under separate contract between the owner and architect/engineers.

Contractually, a project delivered under the "General Contract" method can be procured through a bid or negotiated basis.

During the bid or negotiation process, Rhodes Building Company solicits pricing from multiple subcontractors for each trade involved in the project. Upon receipt of the subcontractors proposals, each is qualified to ascertain that a complete scope of work and an accurate cost has been provided. The qualified proposals are then compiled into a schedule of values which is presented to the owner for evaluation.
