Rhodes Building Company Constructs the Orangetheory Fitness Headquarters
Anyone who’s lived through a renovation project knows the tribulations of operating in what often time seems like a zone of construction chaos.
When Rhodes Building Company was contracted by Orangetheory Fitness to provide design-build services for their new corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, FL, detailed planning proved essential as Orangetheory employees were already hard at work in the building.
“Our preconstruction team did a great job working with our client when it came to site utilization and phasing. We were surgically precise in adhering to a phased construction schedule so to not disrupt the day-to-day operations of the employees in their workplace,” Matthew Rhodes, president of Rhodes Building Company, said.
“We ultimately delivered a magazine-worthy space on time, within budget and exceeded client expectations,” he said.
The 75,000 square foot facility features an art deco lobby, upscale cafe, spa-like amenities, employee lounge, high-tech boardroom, franchisee training center, a fitness lab and IT support center along with a full Orangetheory Fitness studio for employee use.
“This was a project that was really fun. Orangetheory’s innovative approach to their business model was reflected in their desire to design a facility that truly is special and breaks the mold when compared to traditional office space,” Rhodes continued.
“We are proud of our talented team of consultants, subcontractors and vendors. Renovating occupied space can be a challenge. Our team handled it well. We were able to pull off a project of this detail and magnitude all with minimal disruption to our client’s daily operations,” he said.
In addition to the corporate headquarters, Rhodes has delivered more than 40 Orangetheory Fitness studios throughout the state of Florida.
“I think we’re Orangetheory’s construction firm of choice for many reasons, but perhaps chiefly because of our team’s ability to understand our client’s brand. We have created synergy that is reflected in the design and delivery of projects that are the perfect balance of form and function, which make these spaces really special.”
